You're my hero, man :)

I've messed up my MacBook Pro video configuration and was getting completely corrupted display right from power up. And I was not able neither to boot to safe mode, nor reset PRAM because of that damn Firmware password I had on my machine.
Spent whole day trying out everything until I found this page. Removed one stick of RAM, reset PRAM - everything works again!

I've been going around and around trying to run my diskWarrior dvd on my iMac, all software current, and done everything they instructed me to do. The dvd will not boot up when holding down C key.Their tech told me I was being blocked from starting up from anything but main drive by the firmware password preventing. I stumbled on this thread, but I don't think it would apply to this, removing ram. How can I turn off or reset that firmware password to let me boot from a dvd??

Worked like a charm on iMac A1312 (EMC 2309), I may have damaged a stick of ram because I have fat fingers and had to use pliers but it worked! 2GB is better than 0
