Chris,

Arron has already identified my mistake regarding your post, apologies. There is no need to correct it at this point as it is voiced twice over in the comments.

My site is a personal site, for my opinions and views on things. I don't care about it being big.... simple. I have my own apple site with a relevant URL, posts regarding Apple on there I do care about being popular in google.

Thanks for taking the time to head over here and comment

David,

I am an author over at RazorianFly and just wanted to make a couple comments on your post.

1) You complain about our site not being factual. Well your blog post stating this has its own mistakes in it. First being that you comment on my post about not having dropped calls, saying that our site contradicts itself later on in the video where Arron states he has dropped calls.

Maybe you should read our posts a bit more carefully. I say this because I, trentiles, posted that article you mention. I state that I have not experienced dropped calls. Arron in the video states that he has experienced dropped calls. This is not contradicting ourselves. This is two DIFFERENT people having two DIFFERENT experiences.

So maybe you should correct your oh so "factual" blog posts, since this section of your post is obviously incorrect.

Now people make mistakes. Our site has made mistakes in the past just like you have made in this blog post. No one is perfect.

2) Thanks for the tip on the URL. Being big into SEO myself I am aware of that, but it was an already established name. I can't even begin to count the number of Apple sites that are huge yet have a URL that does not describe their content. First that comes to mind it TUAW. Yes those initials mean something that applies to their site, but the actual domain name means nothing. How does using your own name show users and Google what is contained on your site? Oh wait it doesn't.

Not having a very descriptive URL that pertains 100% to your content is not the end all be all of SEO. It helps, but doesn't really hurt all that much in the big picture.

Oh, and throwing your dummy out the pram removing links without informing the other site is also really poor. Maybe I am just getting old and forgetting how young people are that are running sites nowadays but I never did that when I was running sites over 10 years ago!

Arron,

As you see, I don't censor comments! I wasn't so much posting a rant Arron than informing others how you behave, it was the only forum I could express my views as you censored all my views and opinions on your site.

There is only one thing about people who run sites on the net etc that I hate and it's those that censor free speech, the thing with the net is.... once you publish to it you need to expect any fall out from it. If you can't stand the heat make sure you write accurate content.

Moderation of comments is there for censoring spam (Viagra etc) or abuse.... none of my comments fell within these categories. You just didn't like the fact that consistently your post was wrong and you were being told so..... so you decided to not keep the comments to make yourself look better, much like Apple does ;)

Had you spoken to me on MSN I could have corrected you off comments and it would have avoided the whole situation, the fact of the matter is I was blocked before I posted the first comment correction - adium tells you that....

I was not bashing your blog, I was trying to point out mistakes which made it look like a 5 year old was running it, I believe they call that 'help' not 'bashing' but then maybe this shows your inability to take criticism?

As for corrections, you know as well as I do the big bang article is not the only one of your posts that I have pointed out factual error in.

Thanks for stopping by Arron, be rest assured your comments are always welcome here - good or bad, I don't censor :)

In case David chooses to pull me up over a spelling mistake, I meant to say (in the above comment):

"Firstly, everyone makes mistakes. The article in question ‘The Big bang: Take 2′ was published incorrectly first time round, I apologise for this."

Good Day David,

Thanks for the kind words. You'll actually find the post your referring to about 'dropped calls' was posted by Trentiles, another poster (you'll find his name to the right of the date on the 'Lets Rock: Aka Naptime!' post), and yes - I did have dropped calls, hence the video.

Now onto some of your more interesting points. Firstly, everyone makes mistakes. The article in question 'The Big bang: Take 2' was published correctly first time round, I apologise for this. I need telling once, not twice, or three times, once. You purposely sat on that page while I was adjusting it, and you kept posting things like 'Your still wrong' etc ... No site needs that.

You'll also find our content is not 'copied' from Mac Rumors, or the BBC or anywhere else, the only 'copied' pieces of information are quoted statements. Let me remind you that all the big news corporations and tech blogs 'copy' each others content, adding their personal opinions into the mix - So don't go slagging us off for that one.

Updating posts is part of everyday blogging. With 2.1, I decided to do an on-going post which talked you though how long the update process took, as well as some of the features installed throughout the process. Let me point, that your comment about this article:

"David Moore Says:
September 12th, 2008 at 6:34 pm

There are new GPRS and 3G symbols too"

Was not censored. I am not (although you might think) censoring your comments. I have a right to moderate comments on my blog as well as you do. Content I find to be inappropriate or no longer relevant to the post(s) in question will be censored.

Finally, MSN is a social tool in which you can choose who you want to speak to - After you consistently bashed my blog through your comments, I wasn't in the mood to talk to you.

Posting a 'rant' about my blog on your blog, is actually even more pathetic than what your actually ranting over (which basically, is nothing).

Lets hope this comment actually gets through David's comment 'moderating' as I intently wrote it ...
