DavidjMoore.com Now on the iPhone and iPod Touch!

I have been an iPhone user since it was first launched in the UK. One of the nice features that came in a January software update was the ability to save an icon on your home screen that relates directly to a website. This allowed you to easily launch and few a site with one push of your finger.

A couple of weeks ago I had an icon made by Arron Hirst from RazorianFly. Arron is responsible for most of the graphics you see on my sites, mainly the icons, banners and post banners. I hope he continues to provide me with these excellent graphics for shameless plugs on my sites

Arron will soon be starting up his own graphics design business which I hope will continue to provide DavidJMoore.com with great, simple and clean graphics. Who knows, if the site becomes popular I may even be able to pay him, but that wouldn’t be frugal, or help me retire at 45.

To place the DavidJMoore.com webclip icon on your desktop you need to follow the steps below:

Navigate to DavidJMoore.com on mobile Safari.
Hit the plus button on mobile Safari.
Select ‘Add to Home Screen‘

After this a screen will appear where you can edit the title of the icon, after you hit ‘Add‘ on this screen your iPhone or iPod touch will return you to your home screen and you will now see the DavidJMoore.com icon there – Happy Tapping!!

Site Redesign – New PR

You will no doubt notice a slightly new site design. The top banner is courtesy of R-Fly who has also made a promotional banner and various other things. If you would like to link to me and would like to swap promotional banners please mail me. Over the coming weeks more and more subtle changes will be made to improve the general appearance of the site. I am hoping to get a unified design to allow for good promotion with similar graphics across my website, business cards etc.

If you have any comments or suggestions on what should be changed, colours, text, arrangement etc then please leave a comment on this post. I’d really appreciate your feedback as design is not my strongest point.

Site News: New Design

Well it has been a busy day! There have been several improvements to the site in its first day. Obviously the design has changed, however, there have also been a number of background changes.

Design Change (Still more changes on this to come)
Google Analytics installed
Askimet Installed
Google Sitemaps Installed

These are obviously the obvious enhancements to change the appearance and also to stop spam and to get the site noticed. There are many more improvements to come including:

Most Frequent Commentator Section
Twitter Integration
Advertising Integration
Server Side Backups

Well here I am again with a new blog install. I’ve never been able to quite start a blog successfully, part of my 2008 plan is to start this one and keep it going successfully. I had moved to Rapid Weaver software which is available on the Mac. It’s a nice app, it just doesn’t feel as powerful as WordPress did. So here I am back on WordPress and with a standard template for now as the WordPress Themes section is currently down. I will continue to keep you up to date as the site progresses.
